Very cool movie. Really well made, looked great — a true Ridley Scott film. The action scenes were awesome. Well directed... I thought the satellite footage was pretty cool. Pretty good script — interesting story. These Middle Eastern movies are also interesting because you don't really know that part of the world and it's always fun to get a glimpse into it. Hani — the head of Jordanian intelligence — was naturally the coolest character by far, always in ridiculously sharp suits and very composed. One thing that bugged me a little, though — when it was stated that we were now in a new location, in a new country, text always appeared below with the location. But this was just like another subtitle, not in some cool font with some cool animation (as I assume it is in the version shown in the US). I feel like it's removing a small part of the film, so it's not shown as the director intended. Then one more thing I noticed — a new type of product placement — when something was shown happening on a computer, various Microsoft sounds played, but there was nothing else to indicate that Windows was being used. I at least believe this was product placement that Microsoft paid for — I don't understand why else there would be a bunch of Microsoft sounds crammed in there (New Mail Notification, Default Beep, etc.). But maybe it's just me and a few others who notice this... but maybe others' subconscious picks up on it — isn't that usually the goal of product placement? But I digress... :) A great and exciting movie.
