Review
Vin Diesel, the man, always delivers ;) This was pretty much what I expected - mindless action-flick, but decent entertainment. Very cool movie, lots of explosions and action sequences... The movie is supposed to take place sometime in the future, and it was interesting how they envisioned the future - not a very bright one. Everything's a mess in Eastern Europe, a state of war and misery, a religious cult with stocks that was just about profit (a jab at Scientology?) and then the vibe in New York was a bit similar to Blade Runner - all the skyscrapers covered in ads and neon lights. Then Google owned all the TV stations - at least the Google logo was on all the video feeds. One thing that was very cool - Vin Diesel pulled out a map that looked like a regular large road map, but then he just zoomed in and moved the map around with his fingers. Pretty cool - it would be nice to have something like that in the near future.
**Addition:** Hey, yeah... then when the movie was starting, you saw in huge letters on the screen: Original Music by: Atli Örvarsson - Iceland represent! He was really doing great - the music was very good, helped create a cool atmosphere.
Keep watching
